To give shoppers greater control over how their data is stored and used, Visa recently issued a new mandate: Merchants who offer cardholders the opportunity to store their payment credentials on file must now obtain cardholder consent and disclose how those credentials will be used. BlueSnap will be rolling out support for this functionality this summer—stay tuned for specific updates!
Visa is taking steps to ease the pain of chargebacks with its new Visa Claims Resolution (VCR), rolled out in April. They’ve introduced a new dispute process that will help eliminate invalid disputes, leverage data to avoid disputes, and expedite the entire dispute process. Together with BlueSnap’s own chargeback notification system and dispute resolution tool, our customers can expect to see an overall decrease in chargeback fraud (along with the associated headaches), and an increase in revenue.
