3-D Secure & PSD2 – Here’s What You Need to Prepare

European businesses need to meet PSD2 requirements for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) of online payments by September 14, 2019. If you don’t comply by then, you face significant risk of payment declines. Luckily, BlueSnap supports 3-D Secure version 2.1, which is the latest technology available for SCA compliance — and we’ve made it as quick and painless as possible to install. We Heard You – Changes to Payout Dates

You asked and we answered. On May 1, 2019 we began computing the payout date using a US business day calendar to streamline the payout process for businesses around the world. Though we’ve worked diligently to ensure this change will have little impact to most of our customers, you may see an adjustment to the day that some transactions are paid to you. UPDATES – Chargeback and Fraud Programs for Visa and BlueSnap

Effective October 1, 2019, Visa will be reducing their thresholds for chargeback and fraud monitoring. BlueSnap will be contacting you during this transition if you exceed .65% and 50+ chargebacks so that we may begin working with you on your remediation plan.

We strongly encourage merchants to review their chargeback and fraud mitigation plans. Visa also recommends that merchants carefully review business practices used for free trial periods and/or recurring billing models to ensure the terms and conditions are properly disclosed to consumers and operate in compliance with the Visa rules.  If you would like to talk with us about ways you can reduce your chargebacks and fraud, please reach out to BlueSnap support or click the link to learn more. Single Sign-On (SSO) for Multiple MIDs

Repeated sign-on requests are a hassle. To streamline the user experience even further, we just enabled SSOs for multiple merchant accounts. Only available to Admin users, this feature will allow businesses with multiple BlueSnap MIDs to view a complete list of their MIDs and login to them without the need to re-enter their login credentials.
