Who Is Value Builder?

Value Builder is a Canadian company that provides marketing and sales software to business advisors. Value Builder’s platform helps advisors find, win and keep their best clients.

They provide tools and ready-made content for accountants, brokers, consultants and financial advisors who focus on helping owners protect, grow and realize the value of their businesses.

The Challenge

Value Builder faced two major challenges with their legacy payments provider: global capabilities and a lack of visibility into performance.

Value Builder’s customers are located all over the world, and their payments provider couldn’t bill customers in their home currencies.

The previous payments provider’s reporting was, as Sam Mendelsohn, President and Chief Operating Officer of Value Builder, puts it, painful. They had to log into multiple accounts in order to get an idea of what would be billed in the next 30 days. The reporting just didn’t provide the data needed to plan and manage cash flow.

The Solution

When Value Builder upgraded its subscription platform to Chargebee, they knew they needed comparable payments technology to support their business. All we’ve had to do is simply turn on a new currency to bill in, and just like that, we start billing customers in their source currency. BlueSnap’s reporting function allows Mendelsohn to see exactly what Value Builder’s future transactions will look like at any given time and generate reports on multiple currencies to gain insight into their overall business.
